PORTALJABAR, CIAMIS REGENCY - Ciamis Regent Herdiat Sunarya once again directly met the community through a series of "Abdi Nagri Nganjang ka Warga" activities held on Friday (17/10/2025).

The "Abdi Nagri Nganjang ka Warga" activity is an initiative of the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, involving OPDs within West Java in synergy with OPDs at the district/city level in West Java.

In this activity, the Regent of Ciamis reviewed several public services provided to bring the government closer to the community, ranging from health services, administration, to social education.

The first activity began with an inspection of a mass circumcision taking place at the Cisaga Community Health Center. Thirty children from underprivileged families participated in the event.

In addition to circumcision, the Community Health Center also provided ultrasound services, which were attended by 48 registrants, some of whom had received examinations by health workers.

Regent Herdiat said that this mass circumcision was a manifestation of the government's concern for the community, especially those who need assistance in basic health aspects.

"This is the government's way of helping the community. Circumcision is not only a medical necessity, but also a part of Islamic law that needs to be facilitated," said Herdiat.

After visiting the Cisaga Community Health Center, the Regent continued his visit to the location where the "Abdi Nagri Nganjang ka Warga" program was implemented, an initiative of the Governor of West Java which aims to bring various public services closer to the community, located at the Karangkamuliyan Rest Area.

The event featured approximately 40 service units, 27 of which were from the Ciamis Regency Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD). Services covered a wide range of areas, including population administration and licensing.

Not only that, this activity was also enlivened by folk entertainment performances and local art performances as a form of preserving regional culture.

"The public should experience the benefits of government presence firsthand. They shouldn't just wait in the office, but rather go out and help. This also promotes local arts and culture, ensuring they remain alive in the community," the Regent explained.

The Regent then inspected the "Stop Bullying" outreach program held at Karangkamulyan 2 Public Elementary School. Herdiat emphasized the importance of creating a safe and comfortable school environment for all students.

"There must be no more bullying in schools. Children must grow up in a supportive and positive environment. All parties—teachers, parents, and the community—must work together to prevent bullying," he stressed.

The "Nganjang ka Warga" activity demonstrates the Ciamis Regency Government's commitment to reaching out and serving the community directly, while also serving as a forum to strengthen the closeness between the government and residents.

Finally, the Regent of Ciamis expressed his gratitude to the Governor of West Java for organizing this event in the regency. He invited the entire Tatar Galuh Ciamis community to attend the culminating event, "Abdi Nagri Nganjang ka Warga," which took place on Saturday evening, October 18, 2025, at the Karangkamuliyan Rest Area in Cijeungjing District.
