PORTALJABAR, CIAMIS REGENCY - Ciamis Regent Herdiat Sunarya emphasized that the medical profession is a noble profession that carries a significant responsibility to provide health services to all members of society, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or social status.

This was conveyed while attending the inauguration of the Management of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) Ciamis Regency Branch for the 2026–2029 period at the Ciamis Regency Regional Secretariat Hall, Friday (10/7/2026).

On that occasion, Dr. H. Regent Herdiat expressed his appreciation to the previous IDI management for their dedication and devotion in providing health services to the community over the past four years.

According to him, the medical profession plays a crucial role because it directly impacts the safety and quality of life of the community. Therefore, their knowledge and skills must be fully utilized to provide the best possible service.

He also reminded the new IDI management to make the organization's mandate a vehicle for devotion and to continue to provide professional, high-quality health services while upholding humanitarian values.

In addition, Herdiat encouraged doctors to continue improving their competencies in line with developments in science and technology in the medical field so they could respond to the increasingly complex challenges of healthcare services.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the West Java Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI), Dr. Mohamad Luthfi, said the world of medicine is currently facing increasing challenges, ranging from rapid technological developments to increasing public expectations regarding the quality of health services.

According to him, inter-institutional collaboration and support for medical personnel are important factors in creating safe, professional, and high-quality health services for the community.
Through the new management, the IDI Ciamis Regency Branch is expected to further strengthen organizational solidarity and contribute to improving the quality of health services in Ciamis Regency.
