PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Garut Regent Abdusy Syakur Amin launched the Great Garut program with Bank bjb during the inauguration of the third batch of Wirahebat at the Garut Regency Hall (08/04/2026) to open access to capital for micro, small, and medium enterprises.

This program is a step by the district government to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem through financial support for local business actors.

Abdusy Syakur Amin appreciated Bank bjb's initiative to provide various capital schemes for regional entrepreneurs.

"Thank God, today we are launching this program together. This program was initiated by Bank BJB as part of BJB's commitment to the development of Garut Regency. I am very happy that there are several innovative schemes related to financial access for our entrepreneurs," said Syakur.

The district government is also collaborating with the National Research and Innovation Agency to strengthen innovation and technology for business actors.

Syakur said that technological support from research institutions could increase the competitiveness of Garut's micro, small, and medium enterprise products in the wider market.

"And thank God, today we have a visit from BRIN. There's another collaboration. This one concerns financial access, and here we have access to innovation and technology that will boost the competitiveness of our MSME teams," said Syakur.

The Director of Research and Innovation Funding at the National Research and Innovation Agency, Raden Arthur Ario Lelono, is offering research funding opportunities for startups of up to IDR 600 million over two years.

"Well, that can be used to create an ecosystem of inopreneurs and technopreneurs to support the superior local wisdom of innovative products from Garut. Thank you, sir," said Arthur.

Bank bjb Garut Branch provides a capital program for Small Businesses for the Prosperous Economic Community for small business actors.

The capital program provides interest-free financing with a ceiling of IDR 500 thousand to IDR 5 million for small business groups.

Head of Bank bjb Garut Branch, Asep Wahyu Ismail, stated that this capital scheme is expected to expand access to capital for business actors.

"The Small Business Credit for the Prosperous Economic Community is a rebranding of the previous Kredit Mesra. But it has local Garut content, so there's the word 'KULIT', which stands for Small Business Credit. In Sundanese, 'alit' means small. This is interest-free, but the limit is small, from 500,000 to 5 million rupiah. But it has to be a group, and before we give the loan, we provide education first," said Asep Wahyu Ismail.

The Great Garut Program is expected to strengthen micro, small and medium enterprises, thereby encouraging regional economic growth.
