PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Garut Regent Abdusy Syakur Amin invited the congregation of the Jihadul Hidayah Grand Mosque, Cikajang District, to increase worship and social awareness during the Safari Ramadan 1447 Hijriah 5/3/2026 as a strengthening of religious values and community togetherness.

Abdusy Syakur Amin reminded the congregation to use the second half of Ramadan to increase worship and strengthen piety.

"Let's make the most of the remaining time we have while we still have the opportunity by working together to increase our worship activities during this holy month," said Syakur.

Syakur also invited the public to cultivate global empathy by praying for fellow Muslims who are experiencing disaster in the Middle East.

Cikajang Sub-district Head Riyana Tasripin reported that security and public order conditions during Ramadan in his area were monitored as safe and conducive thanks to the active participation of residents and security forces.

Riyana said that economic activity in the community increased through Ramadan markets featuring vendors selling takjil (breaking fast) and Eid al-Fitr necessities.

"The economy in Cikajang District remains stable and tends to increase during the holy month. This is evidenced by the Ramadan market, which is characterized by a surge in economic activity, from takjil (breaking fast) vendors to Eid al-Fitr preparations," explained Riyana.

The Ramadan Safari activity was closed with the handover of Al-Quran endowments and the distribution of basic necessities to representatives of the congregation of the Jihadul Hidayah Grand Mosque as a form of social concern for the surrounding community.
