The Garut Regent Encourages GUNTARA and GEMAS to Strengthen Religious Understanding and Morals of the Young Generation

PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - The Regent of Garut, Abdusy Syakur Amin, received a courtesy visit from the Chairman of the Regional Management Board (DPW) of the Indonesian Mosque Youth Communication Agency (BKPRMI) of West Java along with the management team in the Pamengkang Room, Garut City District, Garut Regency, Monday (10/8/2026).

In the meeting, the Regent of Garut expressed his appreciation for being trusted by Garut Regency to host the West Java-level agenda, namely the Gebyar Ustadz Ustadzah Nusantara (GUNTARA) and the Sakinah Mosque Movement (GEMAS).

"The point is that these competitions are held to encourage the talents, interests, and potential of our children, especially those who are active in the mosque," said Garut Regent, Abdusy Syakur Amin.

He hopes that through this event, the development of the young generation of Muslims can be carried out more massively so that it has an impact on increasing religious understanding and the formation of noble morals.

"This activity is also expected to improve the quality of religious understanding and morals of our children, the younger generation to come," he added.

On the same occasion, the General Chairperson of the West Java BKPRMI DPW, Oleh Soleh, expressed his gratitude to the Garut Regency Government for their acceptance and support for the implementation of the activity.

"Thank you for the acceptance and willingness of Garut Regency to carry out BKPRMI activities of a national nature at the West Java level," said Oleh Soleh.

He explained that the series of activities to be held includes GUNTARA and GEMAS, which are aimed at children under 6 years old. The peak event is scheduled for August 25, 2026, at the Garut Pendopo, with participants from 27 regencies/cities across West Java.

Closing his speech, the Chairman of the West Java BKPRMI DPW invited all elements of West Java society to provide support and prayers for the smooth running of the activity.

"I invite and ask for the support and prayers of all West Java residents to ensure the success of the BKPRMI Salam activities, which are intended to build the character of the next generation with noble morals," he concluded.
