PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - The Regent of Garut, Abdusy Syakur Amin, attended the Anti-Corruption Socialization and Strengthening of Integrity activity for Village Heads throughout Garut Regency which took place at the Garut University Hall, Campus 1 (Hampor), Jalan Prof. KH Cecep Syarifudin, Tarogong Kaler District, Garut Regency, Tuesday (15/9/2026).

In his remarks, the Regent of Garut expressed his appreciation for the presence and direct guidance of the Acting Director of Anti-Corruption Education and Training (Diklat) at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Muhammad Indra Furqon, in providing corruption prevention training to village heads. He stated that villages are the primary bulwark in public service.

"This is very important, because we hope that villages, as the spearhead of government and community services, can carry out their duties in accordance with applicable regulations, while still prioritizing effectiveness and providing welfare for the community," said Abdusy Syakur Amin.

He hopes that the socialization material can be absorbed and internalized in each village government, so that clean village governance can be realized and free from corrupt practices.

Meanwhile, the Acting Director of the KPK-RI Anti-Corruption Training, Muhammad Indra Furqon, explained that the KPK team's presence in Garut Regency aims to provide comprehensive education so that village heads clearly understand the limitations in exercising their authority.

"We will teach anti-corruption offenses, instilling integrity, preventing bribery and gratification, and managing public interests. We are offering this complete training package for village heads in Garut Regency," Indra emphasized.

At the end of the activity, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) and the Garut Regency Government hoped that this training would produce village heads with high integrity and be able to become barometers for regional development in Garut Regency.
