PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - The Regent of Garut, Rudy Gunawan attended a farewell event to welcome the Commander of Military Resort Command (Danrem) 062 Tarumanagara, from Colonel Inf. Asep Sukarna to Colonel Arh. Rudi Ragil The event took place in the Ballroom of the Santika Hotel, Jalan Cipanas Baru, Tarogong Kaler District, Garut Regency (27/11/2023).

In his new position, Colonel Inf. Asep Sukarna will occupy the position as Chief Expert for Ilpengtek Kodiklatad, while Colonel Arh. Rudi Ragil SP previously served as Irut VIII/Binjemen Itren Itben Itjenad. This event was the 11th Danrem farewell during the leadership of Regent Rudy Gunawan.

"Of course we are grateful that today I gave a speech (welcome) to Danrem, this is the eleventh sir, I always represent the handover of Danrem, and this is the eleventh time," said Regent Rudy Gunawan in his speech.

The Regent of Garut expressed his thanks to Colonel Inf. Asep Sukarna who has served at Korem 062/Tarumanagara for more than 1 year for his contribution to East Priangan and Garut Regency. He also welcomed Colonel Arh. Rudi Ragil SP as the new Danrem.

Rudy Gunawan also expressed his gratitude because Garut is the center of government in East Priangan, one of which is the location of Korem 062/Tarumanagara in Garut Regency.

Colonel Inf. Asep Sukarna expressed his extraordinary impression from more than 1 year of serving as Danrem. He expressed his gratitude for the trust, trust and honor given.

"It was truly extraordinary for us to be able to do it, and the impressions we got were quite a lot, maybe if we convey it, in essence it is in the video that was filmed, even though it was only a little bit as an illustration, what is clear is that there were many impressions that we got during is in the East Priangan area," he said.

Meanwhile, the new Danrem, Colonel Arh. Rudi Ragil SP, hopes that it will be well received in Garut Regency. He emphasized the importance of cooperation with regional governments and Forkopimda, especially facing the challenges of the 2024 political year.

He also advised the Military District Commanders (Dandim) who are in the territorial area of Korem 062/Tarumanagara, to always maintain cooperation with the regional government and the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).

Moreover, he assessed that his party is faced with many challenges, especially the political year which will take place in 2024.

"Hopefully, by synergizing with regional governments throughout East Priangan, we will stay safe, nothing will happen," he concluded.
