PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - The Garut Regency Government has appointed 35 members of the 2026 Heritage Flag Raising Troop (Paskibraka) to serve at the regency level.

Garut Regent Abdusy Syakur Amin inaugurated the Paskibraka members at the Garut Regency Pendopo Building on 08/15/2026.

Inauguration is a confirmation of the responsibility, honor, and loyalty of members as the younger generation and citizens of Indonesia.

"With the content of honor that will be stated in the inauguration, what is important is the practical implementation of the essence of rights in daily actions," stressed Abdusy Syakur.

He emphasized that the code of honor must be a commitment that Paskibraka members apply in their daily lives.

"With a strong code of honor in the soul of every Indonesian, a sense of responsibility and loyalty to their duties to Mother Indonesia will grow until the very end," he continued.

Abdusy Syakur reminded that Dharma Mulia Putra Indonesia as the Paskibraka code of honor is an elaboration of the noble values of Pancasila.

Before the inauguration, the Regent led the reading of the Indonesian Son Pledge which was followed by all members of the Garut Regency Paskibraka.

The Head of the National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol) of Garut Regency, Nurrodhin, said that the 2026 Paskibraka selection was carried out transparently.

The selection process refers to the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) Regulation Number 5 of 2023 concerning amendments to BPIP Regulation Number 3 of 2022.

All selection stages are conducted through the Paskibraka Transparency application with BPIP supervision to ensure the process is transparent.

From this process, 35 participants were selected to serve at the Garut Regency level and two participants represented Garut at the West Java Province level.

Nurrodhin hopes that Paskibraka education and training will shape a generation with character, independence, responsibility, and leadership.

Guidance is also directed at building a generation that is faithful and pious, has noble morals, is healthy, intelligent, creative, innovative, and competitive.

These values are expected to be provisions for the younger generation in carrying out community life based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.
