PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - Garut Regent Rudy Gunawan inaugurated 2 Subdistrict Heads and 83 Government Employees with Technical Formation Work Agreements (PPPK) for 2022. This moment coincided with the 2023 Garut Regency Level 95th Youth Pledge Commemoration Ceremony which was held at the Regional Secretariat Field (Setda ), Garut Regency, Monday (30/10/2023).

The two sub-district heads who were appointed were promotions from the sub-district secretary (sekmat), namely Benni Yandiana, promotion of the Bungbulang Sub-district Secretary to Bungbulang Sub-district Head, while Iis Rahmawati, promotion from Pasirwangi District Secretary to Sukaresmi Sub-district Head.

In his speech, Rudy advised the two new sub-district heads to carry out their duties with full dedication and responsibility. He also reminded that today is a special moment, because the two sub-district heads will serve until they retire in 2045 or later.

"(Retirement) is more than 20 years away. Inaugurated in the presence of Forkopimda, heads of vertical agencies and also implemented on Youth Pledge Day in 2023," he said.

Rudy also expressed his appreciation to PPPK who had been waiting for their status for 25 years. He explained that the PPPKs who were appointed had contributed with minimal compensation, but today they were appointed as PPPKs in accordance with applicable regulations.

"But you have integrity, you are part of the Garut Regency Government organization, and today in accordance with statutory provisions, you have been appointed as Government Employees with a Work Agreement," he said.

Rudy also revealed that there are still around 1,500 Category I and II Honorary Staff who have worked for more than 15 years and are in the process of continuing their management by the Deputy Regent of Garut, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

To the employees who were appointed, Rudy again reminded them to work well and seriously, so that they do not become a burden on the organization. He also emphasized that the salaries of PPPKs will increase to around 4 million rupiah starting next month.

"Don't let these two sub-district heads, after becoming sub-district heads, become a burden on the organization, (then PPPK) which was previously one million, now you get around 4 million rupiah starting next month," he said.

The newly appointed Head of Bungbulang District, Beni Yandiana, expressed his gratitude for the trust given by the Regent of Garut. Beni promised to work hard and consolidate with all entities in the sub-district, especially the Islamic boarding schools which are the base of the Bungbulang area.

"Because Bungbulang is the base area for Islamic boarding schools, there are many Islamic boarding schools, God willing, my agenda for the first 100 days will be to stay in touch with Islamic boarding schools," he said.

The PPPK who were appointed felt the same thing, feeling happy and proud of their appointment. Agung Gunawan (40), who has served for 13 years at RSUD dr. Slamet, now serving as a Computer Officer in the Hospital Management Information Systems (SIM RS) section at the hospital where he has served so far, hopes that this success will be felt by all his professional colleagues.

"Hopefully for my friends who are in the hospital, hopefully others will soon follow, what we are fighting for together will all be ours," he said. (Diskominfo Garut/UPI)
