PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Garut Regent, Rudy Gunawan inaugurated 10 Inter-Time Change (PAW) Village Heads which took place in the Pamengkang Room, Garut City District, Garut Regency (19/12/2023).
On this occasion, the Regent of Garut, Rudy Gunawan, congratulated the inauguration of the elected village heads. He explained that this was a matter of pride, because the village head who was appointed today replaced the previously elected village head whose term was still available.
"So your position is the same even though you are elected by representatives, but you are representatives of the community, entities in the village which are regulated by Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages," said the Regent of Garut.
Rudy reminded the village heads who had been appointed to work immediately and not get involved in politics. He emphasized that the village head has the task of providing services to the community.
"Don't let any of our people not eat, if they really need rice, once again, if they need rice, don't make things difficult for those people, and we will provide them with government rice reserves in the DKP," said Rudy.
The Regent of Garut said that Garut Regency currently still has rice reserves so that the daily needs of the Garut people can be met.
"This includes ensuring that food aid is available for those in need. Of course we are Muslims, I apologize to the village head. Pay more attention to the poor, because the poor will take us to Allah SWT's heaven," said the Regent of Garut.
Finally, the Regent of Garut conveyed to the village heads who were appointed to have good work behavior, especially in managing village finances.
"You are not behaving well in terms of financial management and can recommend that we stop the ADD first. The ADD is a budget that we prepare 210 billion per year," he explained.
On this occasion, the oath of office for Civil Servants (PNS) in Administrative Positions was also held at the Malangbong Regional General Hospital.
