PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Garut Regent, Abdusy Syakur Amin, accompanied by the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Department of Garut Regency, Agus Ismail, inspected the construction of the Cidarengdeng Bridge connecting Mekarsari Village and Lengkongjaya Village, Karangpawitan District, Monday (28/9/2026).

The review was conducted to ensure that construction progress was running smoothly and in accordance with the specified quality standards before the contract completion deadline.

During his inspection, Abdusy Syakur Amin stated that the community had been eagerly awaiting the bridge's presence because it plays an important role in facilitating mobility and daily activities.

"Hopefully, this road can be completed, as it will help with public transportation. This is one of the bridges built to our robust standards, God willing, so that it can accommodate a fair amount of vehicles," said the Garut Regent.

The Head of the PUPR Service of Garut Regency, Agus Ismail, explained that the Cidarengdeng Bridge is a vital route that supports the economy of rural areas.

The bridge was built with a width of approximately 4 meters so that it was deemed adequate to support the load of goods transport vehicles.

"According to the contract, this bridge will be completed by October 5th. We hope it can be used optimally and that the community will participate in maintaining it," he said. (Garut Communications and Information Service/rka)
