Prevent Influenza Virus Transmission: Bio Farma Provides Free Influenza Vaccine to the Community

PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Through the Environmental Social Responsibility (TJSL) program, Bio Farma provides free influenza vaccination for the people of the Bandung area.

The free influenza vaccination activity took place for two consecutive days and was given to the community in Bojongloa Kidul District on June 24 2024 and Sukajadi District, Bandung City on June 25 2024 .

This free vaccination activity was carried out in synergy with Bio Farma's TJSL program with Bojongloa Kidul District and Sukajadi District.

AVP TJSL Bio Farma, Sarmedi said that this activity was one of a series of events as a form of Bio Farma's concern for the community by providing free influenza vaccines.

"Considering that current extreme weather changes can have an impact on health, we must make efforts to maintain health, one way is by vaccinating to reduce the potential for the spread of the influenza virus to the wider community," said Samedi, Wednesday (26/6/2024).

"This activity was held as a form of Bio Farma's concern for the surrounding community by providing free influenza vaccines to the Bojongloa and Sukajadi sub-districts with the aim of improving the health quality of life." he added.

Bio Farma is committed to improving the quality of life and welfare of the community, especially in the health sector. With preventive measures, one of which is through vaccination, the level of community immunity can increase, thereby reducing the potential for the spread of the influenza virus among the community.

Meanwhile, the Head of Bojongloa Kidul District, Judy Hermawan, expressed his gratitude to Bio Farma for providing free influenza vaccines which are currently a concern for the public in the hope of improving the level of public health.

"We have collaborated with Bio Farma and thank God, on this occasion we can hold free influenza vaccination activities for residents of Bojongloa sub-district. "We hope that residents can make good use of this opportunity as an effort to prevent flu and coughs," said Judy.

Head of Sukajadi sub-district, Inci Dermaga Mustawan, expressed his gratitude because Bio Farma had paid attention to the community, one of which was Sukajadi sub-district. This is an opportunity for people to improve their health quality of life.

"On behalf of the residents of Sukajadi District, I would like to express my thanks to TJSL Bio Farma for providing free vaccinations in Sukajadi District. "We urge all Sukajadi residents to vaccinate to reduce the number of disease exposures in the surrounding community." said Inci.
