PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - The Garut Regency Government (Pemdakab) is holding Car Free Day (CFD) for the second time after being suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, taking place along Jalan Ahmad Yani, from beside the Garut Detention Center (Rutan) to Toserba Asia, Sunday (8/9/2024).
This CFD coincided with the implementation of the Healthy Walk held by the Regional Secretariat (Setda) of Garut Regency in order to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.
As in the previous CFD, various public services from Regional Apparatus (PD) and several vertical agencies and Regionally-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) are provided to the public.
One of the participating PDs is the Cooperatives and Small and Micro Enterprises Service (Diskop UKM) of Garut Regency, which provides free Business Identification Number (NIB) services, free packaging design, and processing of Household Industry Food Permits (PIRT).
Head of Diskop UKM Rizky Ridznurdhin said the presence of this service aims to increase the competitiveness of UKM products in Garut.
"The public's enthusiasm is extraordinary, very positive, as evidenced by several services, some people want to discuss further and immediately fill out the form. So that it will later become material for the next process, it's extraordinary," he said.
Rizky explained that the service is not only available during CFD but can also be accessed at the Garut UKM Cooperative office, Parigel Cooperative, or online via the UKM Cooperative social media.
"We already have Myopia, so Myopia is specifically given to SMEs who want to design their packaging according to their fantasy imagination using artificial intelligence technology, so it can be anywhere, anytime 24 hours," he said.
Not only Diskop UKM, Diskominfo Garut Regency also presents Kolink cars (Mobile Diskominfo) and collaborates with cellular operators to provide services related to cellular products, SIM card replacement, 4G SIM card upgrades, to network complaints.
He hopes that in the future, Garut Regency will truly have better communication access, and there will no longer be blank spot areas or areas not covered by provider areas.
"Alhamdulillah, earlier I saw that many people were interacting with these providers, including us, regarding telecommunications services in Garut," said Egga.
Chairman of the Garut Cellular Entrepreneurs Association (Hipsega) Eggy Airlangga, welcomed and supported the collaboration efforts between cellular operators and the government, especially with Diskominfo. He hopes that events like this can continue in the future.
"The hope is that things will be better in the future, because the need for digital data will continue to increase," he said.
Head of the Garut Regency Manpower and Transmigration Office, Muksin, explained that his office provides services for making AK1 cards or yellow cards.
He explained that many people use the services provided by his party. Muksin also explained that his party will continue to improve this employment service, especially for remote areas.
"So, for the community, if they want to get this AK1 service (or) Yellow Card, if the requirements are met, God willing, it won't take long, then this can also be done online, in the Siap Kerja application, it can also be done online, later it will be printed at the Manpower Office," he said.
Muksin also introduced the innovation of using solar power generators in service cars as a form of contribution to reducing the effects of carbon gas.
"Well, the capacity is 10 thousand watts. So this is very sufficient, yes, for several services we contribute electricity to DPMPT, then to BPJS Employment," he said.
This CFD was also enlivened by various other services such as population administration by Disdukcapil, animal health checks by Diskannak, and health services by the Health Service.
The high enthusiasm of the community shows the importance of the continuation of this event in bringing public services closer to Garut residents.
