PORTALJABAR, CIAMIS REGENCY - The transformation of Integrated Health Posts (Posyandu) in Ciamis Regency has entered a new phase. No longer solely focused on maternal and child health services, Posyandu is now required to become a community service center encompassing six basic service areas.
To realize this, the Ciamis Regency Government held an activity to strengthen village institutions by increasing the capacity of integrated health post (Posyandu) cadres in the 6 Minimum Service Standards (SPM) Transformation Implementation Program at the Ciamis Regency Regional Secretariat Hall, Tuesday (30/6/2026).
The activity, which was attended by 292 participants, consisting of 27 Heads of Village Community Empowerment Sections, 258 village Posyandu cadres, and 7 sub-district Posyandu cadres, was a strategic step by the local government in strengthening the role of Posyandu as the spearhead of community services at the village and sub-district levels.
The Head of the Ciamis Regency Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) Advisory Team, Hj. Kania Ernawati Herdiat, emphasized that the Posyandu transformation is a mandate of the latest regulations aimed at improving the overall quality of community welfare while supporting the realization of the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.
"Today's Integrated Health Posts (Posyandu) no longer only provide health services. They must now be able to provide six basic services: education, health, public works, public housing, public order and safety, community protection, and social services," he said.
According to Hj. Kania, this transformation is not easy. Therefore, the Ciamis Regency Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) Advisory Team has formed a mentoring team from various regional government agencies (OPDs) responsible for assisting Posyandus in each sub-district.
He also appreciated the Community and Village Empowerment Service (DPMD) of Ciamis Regency, the Banjar Branch of BPJS Employment, and all Posyandu cadres who have shown extraordinary dedication and collaboration in providing services to the community.
"We understand the challenges faced by our cadres. Therefore, cross-sector synergy is continuously strengthened so that Posyandu can provide good and comprehensive services to the community. I hope all participants can absorb and implement the knowledge gained today to improve the quality of services at their respective Posyandus," he said.
According to data from the Ciamis Regency Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) Advisory Team, there are currently 1,623 Posyandus managed by 12,847 cadres across the regency. The presence of these cadres is considered strategic in creating a healthy, intelligent, stunting-free, and productive generation.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Ciamis Regency DPMD, Asep Khalid Fajari, expressed his highest appreciation to all Posyandu cadres who have been at the forefront of community services in villages and sub-districts.
"Posyandu cadres are one of the key factors in the success of the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision. It all starts with the birth of a healthy, stunting-free, intelligent, productive, and noble generation," he said.
He explained that this capacity building activity is part of the village institutional development task carried out by the DPMD, particularly in strengthening Posyandu institutions based on the six Minimum Service Standards.
"This activity aims to increase the knowledge, understanding, and enthusiasm of cadres in updating the Posyandu service system based on the latest regulations, so that it can support the convergence program to accelerate stunting reduction in Ciamis Regency," he explained.
On that occasion, the Head of the Banjar Branch of BPJS Employment, Tony Hidayat, also provided information about BPJS Employment programs, including the education guarantee program for students, as a form of social protection that is expected to provide broad benefits to the community.
The collaboration between the Ciamis Regency Government, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, and Posyandu cadres is concrete evidence that human resource development is not only built through infrastructure, but also through strengthening basic services that are present down to the village level.
With the transformation of Posyandu 6 SPM, the Ciamis Regency Government is optimistic that Posyandu will increasingly play a role as an adaptive, responsive community service center and become an important foundation in creating a golden generation towards Golden Indonesia 2045.
On the occasion, a Death Benefit (JKM) payment of Rp 42,000,000 from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan was also distributed to the heirs of each deceased Posyandu (Integrated Health Post) cadre. This payment demonstrates the state's commitment to providing social protection for these cadres, who have served as the spearhead of community service in villages and sub-districts.
The handover of this assistance also serves as a symbol of appreciation for the dedication and devotion of the Posyandu cadres who have dedicated their energy and time to improving the quality of health and welfare of the community, in line with the spirit of building superior human resources towards Golden Indonesia 2045.
