PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, along with a number of Regents and Mayors from all over West Java departed for Magelang to attend the Retreat of Elected Regional Heads from the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections.

The event, which took place at the Magelang Military Academy (Akmil) on February 21-28, 2025, was a moment of preparation and reflection for regional heads. The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, is scheduled to provide direct direction at the retreat.

Dedi Mulyadi stated that as the new regional head who was inaugurated on February 20, 2025, it is his obligation to submit to the applicable government system, including following the direction of the Head of State to attend this retreat.

"As regional heads, we must submit and obey government decisions, both central and regional," said Dedi Mulyadi in Bandung City, Friday (21/2/2025).

Dedi also emphasized that all regional heads in West Java will participate in this retreat without exception.

"All regional heads in West Java are certain to depart. The budget allocation has been prepared and cannot be cancelled," he said.

Dedi emphasized that his departure to Magelang did not use funds from the West Java Provincial Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD), either for travel costs or while at the retreat location.

"I went there without using West Java Provincial Government funds, both during my stay there and upon departure," he said.

Dedi left for Magelang using an Indonesian Air Force plane via Husein Sastranegara Airport in Bandung City.

This retreat activity aims to strengthen the understanding and readiness of regional leaders in carrying out government duties after being inaugurated, while strengthening the synergy between the central and regional governments.
