PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi inaugurated 51 members of the 2026 West Java Province Flag Raising Troop (Paskibraka) at Bale Gemah Ripah, Gedung Sate, Bandung City, Friday (14/8/2026).

The 51 Paskibraka members represent 27 regencies/cities across West Java. They have undergone various stages of selection and training to foster nationalism, patriotism, and leadership.

The selection stages include national insight tests, general intelligence, fitness, health, parades, Marching Regulations (PBB), interviews, and a series of other tests.

In his remarks, KDM, Kang Dedi Mulyadi's nickname, stated that the Paskibraka members are a generation being prepared to become the nation's future leaders. He encouraged them to internalize the values of the Red and White in their lives.

"So, those standing here are the generation that will rise to become the next generation of the nation. Be happy because today we can internalize the values of the Red and White," said KDM.

According to him, the Red and White spirit must be built on a commitment to national unity and honor. He emphasized that devotion to the nation should not be based on interests such as position, power, or wealth.

"In me there is no burden for a position, in me there is no burden for power, in me there is no burden for wealth. In me there is only one thing, honor," he added.

KDM also appreciated the determination of the Paskibraka members who were willing to undergo the coaching and training process amidst various challenges.

He believes this attitude is a differentiator among the younger generation who are increasingly accustomed to digital convenience and activities.

"You still want to be in the heat, you still want to sweat, you still want to leave your parents, you still want to leave the joys of being young," he said.

Dedi described the 51 Paskibraka members as chosen from among the many young people in West Java. Therefore, he expressed his respect and admiration for all of them.

He hopes that the experience gained during the selection, coaching, and training processes will equip the Paskibraka members to continue maintaining their national spirit and become role models for other young generations.
