PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi responded to the resignation of the President Director of bank bjb, Yuddy Renaldi.
Dedi ensured that performance and all business activities would continue to run normally. The resignation was made considering personal reasons.
Furthermore, the resignation will be decided at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) in accordance with the company's articles of association and applicable laws and regulations.
Dedi said the resignation was a good attitude to maintain the integrity of Bank BJB as a banking institution that is the pride of West Java.
"I have received a report from the bjb commissioner, the President Director stated that he was resigning, and in my opinion, the attitude of resigning is a very good attitude," said Dedi Mulyadi, Wednesday (5/3/2025).
According to Dedi, institutions are different from individuals. "This means that the actions taken by the former CEO of bjb were personal actions. But bjb is a bank owned by the people of West Java whose integrity must be maintained," he said.
Furthermore, the change of the CEO will be done independently. He does not want any political intervention from any party.
"For that reason, I give full authority to the institution that has the authority to conduct selection for candidates for the president director of Bank BJB," said Dedi.
At least, Dedi said, there are four qualifications sought from the new CEO. First, able to restructure management positions more leanly.
"The number of directors is sufficient at three people, the number of commissioners is sufficient at three people, the structure should not have any deputies, deputies, deputies. In my language, there should not be any more deputy directors, no deputy managers, just one is sufficient: director - manager," he said.
Second, must be able to do human resource structuring. That human resources that are not qualified must be fixed. "Choose people who have strong service standards," said Dedi.
Third, the new CEO must be able to reduce operational costs that are too high. Operational inefficiencies must be suppressed. Fourth, bank bjb must be able to streamline branch offices that are too many.
"People who have the ability to carry out these four things can become the main director, if they don't have the ability, don't," said Dedi.
Dedi admitted that he did not know too deeply the essence of the resignation of Yuddy the President Director. "What is clear to me is that the resignation is a better attitude than continuing to lead at bjb. Because these four trends are not met," he said.
"(Currently) We follow the provisions and respect all processes at the Corruption Eradication Committee," he concluded.
