JAKARTA – West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi emphasized that all advisors within the West Java Provincial Government will work voluntarily without receiving an honorarium. He emphasized this policy after being inaugurated as Governor of West Java at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Thursday (20/2/2025).
This statement also responds to the wishes of the former Indonesian Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Susi Pudjiastuti, who is willing to become an advisor without receiving an honorarium.
"Mrs. Susi's request? Oh yes, it was accepted but Mrs. Susi asked for no honorarium. The prohibition on appointing experts, specialists, or advisors is if it incurs costs. So, all advisors in West Java Province are volunteers, without costs. Next week after returning from the retreat, I will sign the decree," said Dedi Mulyadi.
In his direction as Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi emphasized his commitment to expanding environmentally conscious development throughout West Java.
One of the main focuses that will be implemented is the construction of a Waste Power Plant (PLTSa) as an innovative solution to overcome waste problems while increasing the availability of environmentally friendly energy.
"The direction is for the development portion to be more environmentally aware. Waste-powered electricity generators throughout West Java will be a priority," he said.
Susi Pudjiastuti's Role in Marine Conservation
Regarding Susi Pudjiastuti, Dedi Mulyadi hopes that the former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries will continue to have a strong spirit in helping the West Java Provincial Government maintain marine sustainability.
He stated that Susi's role is very much needed in providing direction regarding the construction of docks, the arrangement of marine areas, and cross-regional development that supports sustainable use of the sea.
"Hopefully, Mrs. Susi will continue to have a strong spirit to help the West Java Provincial Government so that the sea remains protected. The sea should no longer be fenced off. Mrs. Susi will provide direction on the concept of building a pier, arranging sea areas, and cross-regional development," he said.
With an innovative and sustainable approach, Dedi Mulyadi demonstrates his commitment to bringing West Java towards greener, more efficient and inclusive development.
