PORTALJABAR, BOGOR CITY - The Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A. Rachim, welcomed the arrival of the Crown of Binokasih Sanghyang Paké at Bale Pakuan Padjadjaran as part of the series of Milangkala Tatar Sunda and the historical retracing of Pajajaran which will be held in Bogor City (7/5/2026).

The arrival of the historic crown is a moment of cultural education for the community because the Binokasih Sanghyang Paké Crown is a symbol of the Pajajaran Kingdom which was previously used by the Sundanese Kings.

The delegation from the Sumedang Larang Palace brought a crown made of 18.8 carat gold weighing around eight kilograms, which has long been one of the important artifacts of Sundanese history.

Dedie Rachim said that Bogor City had a special opportunity because not all areas in West Java were the transit locations for the Crown of Binokasih Sanghyang Paké.

"Bogor has a special opportunity, because of the closeness between Bogor and Sumedang, especially due to its historical ties," said Dedie Rachim.

According to Dedie, the cultural parade is expected to strengthen ties between regions in West Java while reintroducing the history of Pajajaran to the younger generation.

The results of research by the Ministry of Culture and the West Java Provincial Government also state that the Binokasih Sanghyang Paké Crown originates from the same era as the Majapahit Kingdom.

The Head of the Sumedang Larang Palace, Rd. Lily Jamhur Soemawilaga, assessed that the cultural procession was a means of strengthening the bonds of brotherhood among the Sundanese people.

"With this Sunda Tatar Milangkala Carnival, Mahkota Binokasih Sanghyang Paké can once again tie the ties of kinship between us," said Lily.

He hopes that the public will increasingly understand the importance of preserving history, culture, and local wisdom as national identity.

The Binokasih Sanghyang Paké Crown Parade is scheduled to take place on Friday night and is a cultural attraction that can be enjoyed by the people of Bogor City.
