DENPASAR CITY - The West Java Province Regional National Craft Council (Dekranasda) is exploring cooperation with the Dewata Nusantara souvenir center to become a showcase for introducing typical West Java MSME products so that they are better known internationally.

In order to realize this, the Acting Chair of the West Java Dekranasda Amanda Soemedi Bey Machmudin held a meeting with the Indonesian Indigenous Entrepreneurs Association (HIPPI) and the Indonesian Export Entrepreneurs Association (GPEI) at Dewata Oleh-Oleh Nusantara, Denpasar City, Bali, Monday (11/25/2024).

At the meeting, Amanda explained that collaboration between provinces in promoting MSME products is the most important thing.

Amanda hopes that this meeting will strengthen the introduction of West Java MSME products in souvenir centers in Bali so that they are known by all tourists who come to the Island of the Gods.

"We are holding this exhibition in Bali to form a collaboration to help MSMEs in West Java introduce their products in Bali and perhaps it can be a showcase to introduce West Java MSME products to the world," said Amanda.

"Because most of the people (who come) to Bali are tourists from abroad (all over the world)," he added.

The collaboration that Amanda means is that West Java Province through Dekranasda will become a producer of raw materials to then be processed into a world-class, cool product.

"To help (Bali MSMEs), we as producers of raw materials starting from wood, rattan, and others to be processed in Bali," said Amanda.

Presenting solutions

Meanwhile, the Head of the West Java Industry and Trade Service, Noneng Komara Nengsih, hopes that the meeting between the West Java Dekranasda and Bali MSME actors can provide solutions needed by the foreign tourist market regarding local products.

"So, through this collaboration with our friends in Bali, we will be able to better understand the world market, what the tastes of people abroad are like, and what their expectations are," said Noneng.

After the meeting, Noneng and the ranks of Dekranasda Jabar will socialize to West Java MSME actors to produce products that are in accordance with the desires of foreign tourists.

"So what is produced by our MSME friends in West Java has more international taste, and can then penetrate the global market," he said.
