PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - The West Java Provincial Inspectorate conducted an assessment of a number of villages spread across the West Java Province.

The assessment is carried out in order to improve the quality of village government, as well as encourage the realization of clean, transparent and accountable village government in village government management.

It should be noted that 19 villages throughout the West Java Province that were assessed by the West Java Provincial Inspectorate in 2024, one of which was Ciomas Rahayu Village, Ciomas District, Bogor Regency, was selected as an anti-corruption village. The activity took place at the Ciomas Rahayu Village Office, Thursday (10/10/2024).

Head of the West Java Provincial Inspectorate Assessment Team, Tedi Zulkarnain, said that this assessment aims to encourage villages to be more transparent in managing village finances and accountable in carrying out their duties.

Through assessments, villages that are vulnerable to corruption can be identified and provided with assistance to improve their financial management systems.

"This assessment is expected to encourage villages to improve the quality of their services, build an anti-corruption culture in the village. Thus, the community can more easily monitor the use of village funds," he said.

Ciomas Sub-district Head Tirta Juwarta expressed his highest appreciation and gratitude to the 2024 Anti-Corruption Village assessment team for Ciomas Rahayu Village, Ciomas District, Bogor Regency.

"It is an honor for us, the assessment team can be present in our village. Alhamdulillah Ciomas Rahayu Village can be the only village that can represent 416 villages throughout Bogor Regency to be assessed as an anti-corruption village in 2024," said the Ciomas Sub-district Head.

Furthermore, the Head of Ciomas Rahayu Village Selih Silih Wati added, several assessments were carried out, first re-checking evidence, directly reviewing the concreting of roads built using the Village Fund program located in Kp. Rahayu, RW 05 and the concreting of roads built using village infrastructure assistance located in the Ciomas Indah villa RW 10.

"Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah SWT, Ciomas Rahayu Village can be selected and directly assessed as an anti-corruption village. This is an honor and a great responsibility for us. We are committed to realizing a clean, transparent, and accountable village government.
