PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Festival is ready to rock West Java. A series of activities in the framework of the celebration of the 79th Anniversary of West Java Province this year will be held on August 23-25, 2024.
This year, the West Java Festival carries the theme 'Harmony of Collaboration'. The theme was chosen because it depicts the solidarity and togetherness of the people of West Java in facing various dynamics of social life.
"This theme shows the cooperation and synergy between the government, communities, and society in celebrating and remembering the history, culture, and achievements of West Java. This also illustrates the strength and unity of the people of West Java," said Head of the West Java Province Tourism and Culture Office, Benny Bachtiar.
Furthermore, Harmoni Kolaborasi symbolizes the unity of three cultural regions in West Java Province, namely Melayu-Betawi, Kacirebonan, and Sunda Priangan. According to the Head of the Tourism and Culture Office, various arts and cultures from various regions will be combined through beautiful collaboration at the 2024 West Java Festival.
"West Java consists of three cultural regions, namely Sunda Priangan, Melayu-Betawi, and Kacirebonan. This harmonization is very important because it is a diversity. We need to accommodate all to strengthen unity in the West Java region," he said.
For three days, there are various events that can be witnessed by the public directly and for free. At Gedung Sate there will be a UMKM bazaar, culinary festival, workshop, seminar, art and cultural attractions, and music performances.
On the last day, there will be a music concert that will be enlivened by the appearance of top stars. The concert will be held in the Saparua Sports Building area, Bandung City.
"This year the concept is different from before. There are various festivals at Gedung Sate which will be held for two days, namely on August 23-24, 2024. Then there is a music concert at GOR Saparua on the 25th. Of course this can be an opportunity to improve the economy in West Java," said the Head of the West Java Tourism and Culture Office.
