PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Provincial Government opens the Pakuan Building to the general public every Saturday and Sunday. Acting (Acting) Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin said that the Pakuan Building has high historical educational value which not many residents know about.

"We want people to know that this is a historic building. More or less like Gedung Sate. So it's a historical educational tour," said Bey at Gedung Sate, Bandung City, some time ago.

Pakuan Building ticket reservations for the public can be made via Sapawarga. People just need to download Sapawarga. After that, select the Pakuan Building Visit Reservation menu in Sapawarga. Fill in the Visit Reservation Order Form. Then, the public will receive an invitation via Whatsapp, and can visit the Pakuan Building according to the schedule and invitation session.

Pakuan Building ticket reservations take place on Wednesday-Friday. The public can order tickets for the 3rd day of the visit, and can order a maximum of 5 tickets/account. The visit quota per session is 80 tickets. There are two visiting sessions for the Pakuan Building, namely the morning session at 09:00-11:00 WIB and the afternoon session at 13:00-15:00 WIB.

Bey ensured that the community was not charged any fees, and that free drinking water was provided at the location. "There's no charge unless you buy drinks there, so you pay if someone sells them. But water is provided for free," he said.

Bey also asked the public to be orderly and follow the guide's directions during their visit to the Pakuan Building. "There will be a tour guide later. Just follow it in an orderly manner," he said.

The Pakuan Building was built in the colonial era in 1867 during the time of Governor General Ch. F. Pahud. The building used as the official residence of the Governor of West Java is located on Jl. Cicendo No. 1 Babakan Ciamis, Sumur Bandung District.

The Pakuan Building was also used as a resting place for important world figures as delegates to the Asian-African Conference (KAA) in 1955.
