PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Iskandar Zulkarnain was officially inaugurated as Acting Regional Secretary of Bandung City at City Hall, Tuesday, December 31, 2024. He was inaugurated by the Acting Mayor of Bandung, A. Koswara and will assume his duties as of January 1, 2025.

This is stated in the Decree of the Mayor of Bandung Number 821.2/KEP.1723-BKPSDM/2024 concerning the Appointment of the Acting Regional Secretary of the City of Bandung.

In addition to the Acting Regional Secretary, as many as 61 Bandung City Government ASN were also appointed to fill functional positions at the One-Stop Integrated Investment and Licensing Service (DPMPTSP) and the Bandung City Education Service (Disdik).

In his inauguration remarks, the Acting Mayor of Bandung, A. Koswara, hoped that the new Acting Regional Secretary of Bandung City would be able to carry out the duties and mandate that had been given.

"I believe that you will carry out the duties and mandates that have been given. May God Almighty always be with us," said Koswara.

He reminded that the role of the Regional Secretary is to be the leader of the Bandung City bureaucracy, as well as an inspiration for ASN in the Bandung City Government.

The mandate of this position is truly very selective. To obtain the position, not everyone can and must go through a very selective process, he said.

On that occasion, Koswara also expressed his gratitude to the Acting Regional Secretary of Bandung City for the 2024 period, Dharmawan. For information, Dharmawan has returned to serve as the Regional Inspector of Bandung City.

"We also express our gratitude to Mr. Dharmawan who has carried out his duties as Acting Regional Secretary," he said.

As a reminder, before holding the position of Regional Secretary, Iskandar Zulkarnain had held a number of positions in the Bandung City Government.
