PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - In an effort to improve health service standards, the Garut Regency Health Service (Dinkes) plans to implement Integrated Primary Health Services (ILP) in all Community Health Centers in Garut Regency.

Head of the Public Health Division of the Garut District Health Office, Tri Cahyo Nugroho, revealed this plan after the ILP Implementation Workshop for Health Workers and Posyandu Cadres, at the Harmoni Hotel, Tarogong Kaler, Thursday (28/12/2023).

"Our hope is that in 2024, initially we will have 30 Community Health Centers implementing ILP," said Tri.

In the second stage, the party will hold another workshop at the beginning of the year, so it is hoped that by April or May all community health centers in Garut Regency will have implemented ILP.

Garut was selected as one of 9 ILP trial loci in Indonesia. Currently, ILP has been implemented at the Banjarwangi Community Health Center, Wangunjaya Village, and Talagajaya Village. With this workshop, it is hoped that 67 Community Health Centers, including Sub-Puskesmas (Pustu) and Posyandu, will gradually implement ILP.

"Previously, there was (only) 1 locus, now it will be 30, then later it will be 67, so we will do it gradually, then also at Pustu, now 30, later 67, later all pustu in Garut Regency (implementing ILP), then also at Posyandu, we will gradually do it in all Posyandu in Garut Regency (implementing ILP)," he said.

The ILP workshop itself was carried out in 3 batches, the first batch was attended by 30 Community Health Centers, consisting of Community Health Centers represented by 8 staff starting from the Head of the Community Health Center, the Person in Charge (Pj) of the cluster, Pustu nurses, village midwives, to Posyandu cadres.

Regarding follow-up, Dr. Tri said that the Health Department would complete regulations and increase human resource capacity for implementing ILP.

"Also carrying out data collection and completing medical equipment and infrastructure, of course human resources as well, implementation loci, whether at the Community Health Center, at the Pustu, or at the Posyandu, of course everything will be made according to standards," he added.

Apart from that, Tri instructed the Puskesmas to disseminate ILP information internally and externally, including to TP PKK and posyandu cadres. Puskesmas are also expected to improve their layout and appearance to increase comfort.

"So what is this cluster like? It is also hoped that the necessary improvements will be made to the Puskesmas and Pustu, so that their appearance will be even better and more attractive," he said.

The Garut Regency Health Office plans to socialize ILP to more than 21 thousand Posyandu cadres in the area.

"Of course, during the ILP period, (Posyandu cadres) must gradually have 25 basic skills or abilities for cadres, but this will be implemented in stages," he concluded.
