PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Trade and Industry Service (Diadagin) received appreciation from Tokopedia as the initiator of an innovative program to promote MSMEs and local products.

This is because Disdagin is considered through Tokopedia to have encouraged the equal distribution of the digital economy in Indonesia and encouraged local marketing.

The award was received by the Acting Head of the Bandung City Trade and Industry Service, Ronny Ahmad Nuruddin from the President Director of Tokopedia and Shop Tokopedia, Melissa Siska Juminto, at the Beli Lokal Awards Festival for UMKM Program Innovators at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Arena Plaza Timur, Jakarta (25/8/2024).

Regarding the award, Ronny expressed his gratitude for the award given by Tokopedia to the Bandung City Trade and Industry Service.

"Alhamdulillah, what we have been doing so far in providing training for MSMEs has received appreciation from Tokopedia," said Ronny.

According to him, this award was given as motivation to Disdagin to further improve training for MSME actors in Bandung City.

"Hopefully, by receiving this award, it can further spur us on in conducting training, so that SMEs can further increase their competitiveness," he said.

It should be noted that, in addition to the Bandung City Trade and Industry Office, awards were also received by the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, the Surakarta City Cooperatives and SMEs and Industry Office, the East Java Province Cooperatives and SMEs Office for the category of initiator of innovative programs to promote UMKM and local products.

In addition, the category of Driver of Digitalization Programs and Capacity Development of MSMEs and Local Products was received by the Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, DIY Provincial Government and Yogyakarta City Government.

Meanwhile, the category of the Pioneer Program for the Empowerment of Women and Youth was accepted by the West Java Provincial Government and the Surakarta City Government.
