PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - The Garut Regency Education Office is holding PAUD coaching and management for the PAUD Mother Working Group to support the one-year compulsory pre-school education.

The activity with the theme "The Role of PAUD Mothers in Supporting 1 Year of Compulsory Preschool Education and Increasing PAUD APK" took place at the Musadaddiyah Hall, Tarogong Kidul, Thursday (17/9/2026).

Secretary of the Garut Regency Education Office, Iwan Riswandi, emphasized the importance of preparing children from an early age to be able to participate in in-depth learning.

"Then, one way is to prepare children early for in-depth learning and to be able to transform their learning by implementing digitalization. Of course, this doesn't have to start suddenly; it should start early, especially at the early childhood education level," he said.

Iwan hopes that the role of PAUD mothers at the village and sub-district levels can encourage community participation so that children can optimally participate in pre-school education.

The Garut Regency Education Office is also currently drafting a grand design for 13 years of compulsory education as a guide for handling pre-school-aged children.

"(For) PAUD mothers, we hope the role of PAUD mothers will further encourage children in villages and sub-districts to participate in pre-school activities before participating in major educational activities," he continued.

Head of the PAUD Section, Awat Setiawati, explained that this annual routine activity is a forum for sharing knowledge and good practices for PAUD mothers.

"Thank God, the PAUD mothers who always support and support the implementation of PAUD in their respective villages and sub-districts, we can share, share knowledge, share good practices for the advancement of PAUD in our respective villages and sub-districts," said Awat.

The activity brought together village and sub-district PAUD mothers from 27 sub-districts along with strategic partners.

Through this guidance, the Garut Regency Education Office is optimistic that the Gross Participation Rate (APK) of PAUD will continue to increase in line with the commitment to the success of the one-year compulsory pre-school education program.
