PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Provincial Government (Jabar) through the West Java Education Office (Disdik) apologized to the public for the access problems that occurred on the New Student Prospective Mapping (PCMB) system page when the mapping results were announced.
The Head of the West Java Education Office, Purwanto, explained that the access disruption occurred due to the high level of enthusiasm from the public accessing the system simultaneously, coupled with the optimization process of the announcement feature to ensure data is displayed accurately and precisely.
"On behalf of the West Java Provincial Government and the Education Office, we extend our deepest apologies for the inconvenience experienced by parents and prospective new students in accessing the PCMB results announcement," said the Head of the Education Office at the 2026 PCMB Results Announcement Press Conference, Saturday (13/6/2026) evening.
The Head of the Education Office emphasized that the problems that arose did not affect data security because all mapping data for prospective new students was stored properly.
"We fully guarantee that all new prospective student mapping data is stored securely. No prospective student's rights will be administratively compromised as a result of this system improvement process," he stressed.
The Head of the Education Office emphasized that the technical team continues to work to finalize improvements to the announcement feature so that the service can be optimally accessed by the entire community.
Prepare Solutions for Prospective Students Who Have Not Been Accommodated
The Head of the Education Office also reiterated his commitment to ensuring all children in West Java have access to education. "Through the PCMB implementation, the government is striving to comprehensively map prospective students so they can receive educational services tailored to their circumstances and available options," he said.
The Head of the Education Office understands that public high schools and vocational schools still have limited capacity. Therefore, various schemes have been developed for prospective students who have not been accepted into public schools to enable them to continue their education.
Currently, he said, there are approximately 77,000 prospective students who have not been accommodated in public schools. "We will channel children who have not been accommodated in public schools to private schools in collaboration with the West Java Provincial Government as part of efforts to protect educational services," said the Head of the Education Office.
This collaboration, he explained, continues to be expanded through coordination between the Education Office Branch and private schools in each region, especially in areas where the number of prospective students has not been sufficiently accommodated.
"Through this scheme, educational costs such as the Education Contribution Fund (DSP) and the Education Development Contribution (SPP) will receive financial support from the West Java Provincial Government according to the region's priority scale and fiscal capacity," he explained.
In addition, the government also continues to optimize the expansion of access to Open High Schools in areas in need as part of an effort to ensure that no child loses the opportunity to receive educational services.
Ensure Data Security and Continuously Evaluate
The Head of the Education Office also urged the public to remain calm and not worry about the security of the data or the mapping results. The entire process was conducted accountably and continuously refined based on field evaluations.
"We ensure that prospective student data remains secure and that there is no manipulation in this process. We again apologize for any obstacles encountered and will continue to make improvements to improve our service to the public," he concluded.
