PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Population and Civil Registration Service (Disdukcapil) of Bandung City will hold a Simpatik Sadar Adminduk Appeal activity at a number of arrival gates in Bandung City.

This activity aims to record non-permanent residents who arrived after Eid al-Fitr 1446 H and to increase public awareness of the importance of population administration.

This data collection was carried out in collaboration with the Bandung City Transportation Agency and regional officials in Cicaheum Village and Babakan Sari Village, Kiaracondong District.

For two days, 7–8 April 2025, this activity took place in two main locations, namely Kiaracondong Station and Cicaheum Terminal.

Head of the Bandung City Population and Civil Registry Office, Tatang Muhtar, said that this activity aims to appeal to new residents to report their presence to the RT/RW administrators and register themselves as non-permanent residents at the Population and Civil Registry Office.

This activity is also to register non-permanent residents directly (on the spot).

"Including providing Digital Population Identity (IKD) activation services and providing other population administration services, such as updating Family Cards (KK)," he said.

Based on Disdukcapil data, the number of non-permanent residents recorded in Bandung City in 2024 reached 2,962 people, while until March 2025, the number had only reached 488 people. The majority of immigrants came to Bandung City to work or study.

Tatang emphasized that this data collection is important to determine the number of non-permanent residents in each sub-district.

The data will be a reference for the Bandung City Regional Government in designing policies and providing public facilities, such as clean water facilities, waste disposal sites, and other services.

Non-permanent residents who do not intend to move permanently to Bandung City are asked to register immediately.

The process can be done online via the Salaman application (Done in Your Hand) or the official website https://penduduknonpermanen.kemendagri.go.id.

This data collection is in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 74 of 2022 concerning Registration of Non-Permanent Residents and the Regional Regulation of the City of Bandung Number 4 of 2015 concerning Population Administration.

"In addition to activities at terminals and stations, this sympathetic appeal will also be carried out periodically in areas with many rented houses and boarding houses, in collaboration with local regional officials," said Tatang.

With this data collection, Tatang hopes that the public will be more aware of the importance of population administration, and the government can be more optimal in designing a more organized development of Bandung City. (Bandung City Government Public Relations/rka)
