PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Transportation Agency is preparing the Trans Wibawamukti Bus Corridor Two to connect Cikarang Station with the Bekasi Regency Government Complex.

The corridor is targeted to effectively serve the public by 2027 to support mobility to the Bekasi Regency government center.

Acting Bekasi Regent Asep Surya Atmaja said transportation plays a strategic role in supporting public mobility and driving the regional economy.

This was conveyed by Asep while leading the 55th National Transportation Day (Harhubnas) Ceremony at the Bekasi Regency Government Plaza, Central Cikarang, Thursday (17/09/2026).

"Transportation is not just about moving people and goods, but also about connecting communities, driving the economy, and opening up access to a more advanced future," said Asep.

Asep appreciated the various innovations of the Bekasi Regency Transportation Agency in developing transportation services for the community.

These innovations include the Area Traffic Control System (ATCS) integrated with the Command Center, the Trans Wibawamukti Buy The Service (BTS) service, and improvements to the quality of public transportation.

The development of electric-powered rickshaws is also part of transportation innovation to support more environmentally friendly services.

Asep hopes that these various innovations will continue to be developed so that transportation becomes safer, more comfortable, orderly, modern, and environmentally friendly.

According to Asep, an integrated transportation system is needed to support community mobility while also supporting the growth of Bekasi Regency.

He asked that various transportation innovations not stop as programs, but be able to provide real benefits to the community.

Meanwhile, Acting Head of the Bekasi Regency Transportation Agency, Andi Suhadhi, said that mass transportation development will continue to be improved.

The Bekasi Regency Transportation Agency has previously opened the Trans Wibawamukti Bus Corridor One with a route from Cikarang Station to Jatimulya, South Tambun.

"Corridor 2 will run from Cikarang Station to the Bekasi Regency Government area. Many people need transportation to the government center," Andi said.
