
PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - The Garut Regency Fisheries and Livestock Service (Diskannak) provided a response regarding information circulating in the community regarding the discovery of a food stall serving pork on Jalan Ibrahim Adjie, Tarogong Kaler District, Garut Regency.
Head of the Garut Diskannak Beni Yoga Gunasantika said that based on the provisions of Law no. 30 of 2014 concerning Halal Product Guarantee (JPH), products entering, circulating and traded in Indonesian territory must be Halal certified in accordance with Government Regulation no. 39 of 2021 is regulated in stages, where the first phasing period for halal certificate obligations will end on October 17 2024.
"Seeing that the majority of people in Garut Regency are Muslim, it is certainly important for non-halal food entrepreneurs to think about their business activities," he said, in his official statement, Saturday (6/4/2024).
The regulations regarding stalls that provide pork menus must comply with the regulations that have been made, one of which is Article 92 of Government Regulation no. 39 of 2021, which states that every business actor who produces food products from prohibited ingredients is required to include non-halal information on the product packaging and include a non-halal certificate in accordance with the provisions in article 26 paragraph 1 of the JPH Law.
In accordance with the regulations contained in Article 94 of Government Regulation No.39 of 2021, several regulations must be adhered to when including a non-halal logo, namely the choice of color must be contrasting, the non-halal (non-halal) information must be easy to read, not easily erased, removed or damaged. .
Meanwhile, violations committed by business actors who intentionally do not include non-halal information will result in administrative sanctions in accordance with article 149 of Law no. 39 of 2021. Therefore, non-halal (non-halal) business actors are required to follow the provisions set by the government.
