JAKARTA --- Head of the West Java Province Communication and Informatics Service, Ika Mardiah, was a panelist in the National Seminar on Retrospective on Government Digitalization (2003 - 2024) at the Jakarta Convention Center, Wednesday (31/7/2024).

Ika explained data-based innovation through a "dashboard" for leaders and the public in West Java at a seminar in the "Digital Transformation Indonesia Conference & Expo 2024" series, which is the biggest digital transformation event in Indonesia.

Ika views that the data in the leadership's "dashboard" can be used to monitor various macro indicators in "real time".

"Data in West Java is processed, verified, standardized and visualized so that data can be retrieved at any time in real time whenever leadership needs it as a basis for making decisions," explained Ika.

Since 2021, the West Java Provincial Government has initiated the West Java Data Ecosystem which is an integrated portal for management, openness and easy access to data for residents and the West Java Provincial Government.

The West Java Data Ecosystem consists of various products, namely the West Java Dashboard, West Java Open Data, One West Java Data, and One West Java Map.

On this occasion, Ika also emphasized West Java's commitment to simplifying and integrating data to facilitate various services.

With the spirit of one data, Ika is optimistic that in the future data integration between the central government and regional governments will be synchronized and standardized in one reference code, data standards and the same data definitions.

"In the future, I hope that data centers can be well distributed throughout Indonesia by paying attention to local needs," he said.

On the same occasion, Head of the East Kalimantan Diskominfo who also serves as Chair of the Indonesian Provincial Diskominfo Association (ASKOMPSI) Muhammad Faisal appreciated West Java's various innovations in digital transformation.

In the future, Faisal plans to send ASN Diskominfo East Kalimantan to study digital transformation to West Java.

"I plan to send ASN Diskominfo East Kalimantan to West Java within one month to absorb various experiences and good practices from West Java in digital transformation," concluded Muhammad Faisal.
