PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BEKASI - The Bekasi Regency Government through the Communication, Information, Coding and Statistics Service (Diskominfosantik) received an award from the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia, at the 2023 ICT Festival, which was held in Semarang City, Central Java, Friday (27/10/2023) evening.

Head of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division at the Bekasi Regency Communications and Information Technology Service, Bahrul Ulum, said that the award was a form of commitment and cross-sector cooperation that had been carried out and was able to be realized in line with the program and direction of development in the ICT sector in Bekasi Regency.

"Thank God, this time we received appreciation for the award as the Best Regional Collaborative Partner. Collaboration in the development of information technology is certainly needed as an effort to accelerate digital transformation," said Bahrul.

He explained that Diskominfosantik together with the National ICT Volunteers in Bekasi Regency collaborated to fulfill basic ICT infrastructure needs that could reach remote areas in Bekasi Regency.

"Yes, we are trying in the next few years for Bekasi Regency to achieve zero internet blank spots in Bekasi Regency," he explained

Head of Bekasi Regency ICT Volunteers, Ira Pelitawati, said that his party is trying to invite village governments in Bekasi Regency to transform in accordance with technological advances so that digital villages can be realized in Bekasi Regency.

"Cikedokan Village, for example, is capable of transforming into a digital village. However, we want Cikedokan Village to be just one of the pilot villages, maybe later we will model the system from other villages," said Ira.

Apart from Diskominfosantik Bekasi Regency, Cikedokan Village also won the award for Best Village Government Digital Transformation together with CSR from PT. Yutaka Manufacturing Indonesia which also won the Award as Best Regional Collaborative Partner.

The Head of Cikedokan Village, Gorin Santoso, expressed his pride after winning the award, because Cikedokan Village is the only village in Bekasi Regency that is able to digitally optimize public services at the village level.

Cikedokan Village itself is considered to be one of the best villages capable of providing digital services, thus providing convenience and speed of service to the community.

"So the people in Cikedokan Village can take advantage of the Village Information and Development System (SIDePe) services, so that the whole community can access all services just by using their smartphone at home," he said.
