PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - The Cooperatives, SMEs, Trade and Industry Service (Diskumdagin) of Cianjur Regency conducted a study on waste processing at the Samarang Tourism Market, Garut Regency, Thursday (8/5/2025).

Head of the Cianjur Regency Trade and Industry Service, Euis Jamilah, and her entourage were received directly by the Secretary of the Garut Regency Trade, Industry, Energy and Mineral Resources Service (Disperindag ESDM) Ricky R. Darajat, Functional in the Market Sector, Head of UPT Region XIII at Disperindag ESDM and staff.

Ricky said that the study visit from the Cianjur Regency Diskumdagin to the Samarang Tourism Market was an honor for the Garut Regency Government, especially the Garut Regency Industry, Trade and ESDM Service.

Waste processing at the Samarang Tourism Market is one of the best in Garut Regency and is a source of pride.

The Garut Regency Government hopes that all markets in Garut Regency can manage waste like the Samarang Tourism Market so that all waste does not have to go to the Pasir Bajing Final Disposal Site (TPA).

"We hope that the Head of the Cooperatives, UMK, Trade and Industry Office of Cianjur Regency, after seeing how waste is processed at the Samarang Tourism Market, at least some of it will be applied and implemented in Cianjur," said Ricky.

Meanwhile, Head of the Cianjur Regency Diskumdagin, Euis Jamilah, said that after visiting the Samarang Tourism Market directly, her party gained new insights and knowledge about effective and efficient waste processing methods.

He also considered that currently the waste problem is a very crucial thing. Waste management in the Samarang Tourism Market is very good.

"Later, our plan is that the markets in Cianjur Regency under the local government must manage waste independently," he emphasized.
