Archives are something that is inseparable from human life, where from birth to death a human being must have archives. Not only that, archives are also owned by an institution which are proof of accountability for the institution's activities.
Considering the existence of archives which are very vital and important, continued Totong, it is necessary to anticipate if the archives are damaged or lost.

Totong explained that archives face various threats, both from natural, chemical, physical and human factors. Considering that Garut Regency is an area prone to natural disasters, archive processing must be adapted to these conditions.
"Various threats to the safety and security of archives can arise in various genres, whether due to natural, chemical, physical or human factors," he said.
He reminded ASN within the Garut Regency Regional Government (Pemdakab) to improve the quality of public services in protecting and saving both physical archives and information recorded therein, if a disaster occurs in their respective areas.
"So it is hoped that archives affected by disasters can return to their respective work environments, can be returned well and provide benefits in the future," he said.
