PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) for the Election of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Bandung City will take place in less than a week, next Wednesday (27/11/2024).

The Bandung City General Election Commission (KPU) continues to strive to increase participation and promote freedom of choice for the people of Bandung City. One of them is by launching the official song or jingle for the 2024 Bandung City Pilkada.

This song was created by legendary musician Doel Sumbang, who is known for his distinctive Sundanese-style works. The lyrics are simple, aimed at reminding people to come to the polling stations (TPS) and exercise their right to vote.

"I just want to remind you that the regional elections are coming up soon, the schedule is November 27, 2024, and by looking at it, it also reminds you that let's go to the TPS in droves, ulah hees (don't sleep)," said Doel during the launch of the official jingle and mascot for the Bandung City Pilkada, last June.

The jingle lyrics also include a moral message for people to choose intelligently, not just be tempted by the physical appearance or popularity of the candidates.

Doel emphasized the importance of understanding the vision and mission carried by the candidates as a guide to determining the best choice.

Here are the lyrics of the official jingle for the 2024 Bandung City Simultaneous Regional Elections:

Dear Bandung residents, don't forget the Bandung City Pilkada on November 27, 2024
Let's go to the polling stations together to choose the best leader of Bandung City.

Regional Elections and Regional Elections
The regional elections are coming soon
Regional Elections and Regional Elections
We make the regional elections a success

At that time
Tree of life
TPS Head, what's wrong
Use our right to vote
Choosing a city leader

Choose the leader of Bandung
Hopefully you can be honest
Choose the leader of Bandung
Hopefully it can be fair

Choose the leader of Bandung
hopefully it can be trusted
Regional Elections and Regional Elections
Choosing a city leader

My kagoda barrel is so beautiful
My beautiful mother's barrel
My mother's barrel is now open
This election is a regional election
Choosing a city leader
This election is a regional election
Choosing our leaders.
