PORTALJABAR, BOGOR CITY - Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Jenal Mutaqin, said that the Bogor City Government has not been able to repair the landslide road on Jalan Saleh Danasasmita, Batutulis Village, South Bogor District.

This is because the West Java Region I Railway Engineering Center (BTP) is still waiting for the repair of the retaining wall.

"We have been waiting for news of the work or study for a month and a half, but there has been none, we continue to be asked by the public, when will Jalan Batutulis be repaired," said Jenal Mutaqin in a hearing with Commission IV of the West Java Provincial People's Representative Council (DPRD) at the West Java Provincial DPRD Office, Bandung City, (14/4/2025).

The funding plan for the new Batutulis Road route also cannot be realized as long as the retaining wall repairs have not been completely completed.

"It's not a matter of finding out who is right or wrong, but it is acknowledged that the retaining wall is still under warranty from BTP Region I West Java, thank you to Commission IV of the West Java Provincial DPRD for paying attention to this problem," he said.

Chairman of Commission IV of the West Java Provincial DPRD, Rizaldy D. Priambodo, stated that the landslide on Jalan Saleh Danasasmita had a major impact on residents.
He said that road access was cut off and triggered social and economic disruption in Bogor City.

"This concerns the interests of the wider community in Bogor City, the road affected by this disaster is a busy road and is busy with traffic every day," said Rizaldy.

It has been more than a month and a half since the landslide occurred, he continued, residents have not been able to use the route again.

He added that around 100 heads of families (KK) in Lawang Gintung Subdistrict were also affected and needed immediate assistance.

"We must immediately find a solution for the 100 families, the relevant agencies in the province should also prepare anticipation, especially since the Governor will directly review the location in Batutulis," explained Rizaldy to the Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) in the West Java Provincial Government (Pemda Provinsi) who attended the meeting.

The latest information in the meeting stated that BTP Region I West Java will only present the results of the improvement study within the next month.

"Please, the Provincial Highways Agency also prepare the calculations, if possible within a week, we cannot continue to hope from here and there, help the Bogor City Government," he said. (Bogor City Communication and Information Service/Fau)
