PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) approved the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) of West Java Province concerning Accountability for the Implementation of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (P2APBD) of West Java Province for the 2025 Fiscal Year to become a Regional Regulation (Perda).

The agreement was made in a plenary meeting at the West Java DPRD Building, Tuesday (14/7/2026).

Acting Secretary of the West Java DPRD, Iman Tohidin, read out the decision on the Draft Regional Regulation to become a Regional Regulation which was then signed by the Leadership of the West Java DPRD and the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi.

"Taking into account the Regulation Meeting of the Regional People's Representative Council of West Java Province dated July 14, 2026, it was decided to stipulate and approve the Draft Regional Regulation of West Java Province concerning Accountability for the Implementation of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget of West Java Province for the 2025 Fiscal Year along with its attachments to become a Regional Regulation," he said.

West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi expressed his gratitude for the advice and appreciation of the West Java Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) during the 2025 fiscal year until now.

"I would like to express my gratitude for all the stages of work carried out by the West Java Provincial DPRD. They have continuously evaluated the government's work programs so that they can continue to run until now," said KDM, the governor's nickname.

He continued, all suggestions, ideas, and opinions from the West Java DPRD will serve as input and evaluation of various shortcomings in development management.

"We also express our gratitude to the West Java Provincial Council (DPRD) for their understanding of the West Java Provincial Government's current situation, including its financial situation. Therefore, we are working together to ensure that financial management is timely, effective, and has significant implications for the community's well-being," he said.

West Java Provincial Secretary Herman Suryatman stated that the disruption to the regional budget (APBD) would continue to be reviewed by the regional leadership forum and the West Java Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD). He emphasized that development and public services must remain optimal for the community.

"The leadership agreed to optimize the regional budget for development and public services, especially basic services such as education and health. The people of West Java must prosper and receive justice. And the regional budget is the tool," he said after the plenary session.

The Regional Secretary emphasized that the West Java Provincial Government has succeeded in maintaining fiscal independence and a relatively stable budget.

"Our fiscal independence is 63 percent despite the reduced regional regional budget (TKD). However, West Java is relatively stable. The proof is that we can still undertake various development projects," he stressed.
