PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government together with the Bekasi Regency DPRD agreed on two strategic Draft Regional Regulations (Raperda) to be stipulated as Regional Regulations (Perda), namely the Draft Regional Regulation on the Protection of Teachers and Education Personnel and the Draft Regional Regulation on the Implementation of Public Order, Public Peace, and Community Protection.

The agreement was established in the Plenary Meeting of the Bekasi Regency DPRD which was held at the Bekasi Regency DPRD Building, Cikarang Pusat District, Thursday (12/6/2026).

According to him, the successful discussion of the two draft regional regulations was the result of good synergy between the executive and legislative elements, as well as support from various related parties, including the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of West Java Province.

"Good synergy between the executive and legislative branches demonstrates a shared commitment to delivering policies and regulations that serve the public interest," he said.

"The regional regulation on the protection of teachers and education personnel is a strategic step in providing certainty of protection to teachers and education personnel, who play a crucial role in shaping the nation's next generation. Therefore, it is only right that educators receive protection in carrying out their professional duties and responsibilities," he said.

In addition, the Bekasi Regency Government also considers the Regional Regulation on the Implementation of Public Order, Public Peace, and Community Protection to be very important in supporting the creation of a safe, comfortable, and orderly community life amidst the rapid development of the region.

"As a region that continues to develop with industrial activity and quite high population growth, the Bekasi Regency Government needs a strong legal basis to maintain public order and increase protection for the community," explained Asep.

He hopes that the two regional regulations can be effective instruments in improving the quality of public services and strengthening the community's social resilience.

"We hope that the two regional regulations enacted today can serve as a strong foundation for improving the quality of public services, strengthening community social resilience, creating a safe and conducive environment, and supporting the realization of an increasingly advanced and competitive Bekasi Regency," he said.

Furthermore, all implementing regulations must be enacted no later than one year after the regulation's enactment.
