PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Ciamis Regent Herdiat Sunarya supports the revival of PD IPHI after a two-year hiatus to strengthen the organization's contribution to society, (10/8/2026).

The Regional Management of the Indonesian Hajj Brotherhood Association (PD IPHI) of Ciamis Regency announced the formation of a new management during a friendly meeting with Herdiat Sunarya at the Ciamis Regency Regional Secretariat.

The Chairman of the Ciamis Regency IPHI PD, Muhammad Syarif Hidayat, said that the deliberation to form the new management had been held on August 3, 2026.

"Our goal is to report on the formation of the IPHI Regional Management Board for Ciamis Regency. A few days ago, on August 3rd, we held a meeting, the main focus of which was planning the formation of the IPHI Regional Management Board for Ciamis Regency," he said.

The management for the 2026–2031 period has been formed with 60 administrators, although the Decree (SK) of approval from the West Java level has not yet been issued.

"After joint discussions, we finally established the management of the Ciamis Regency IPHI Regional Leadership Council (PD IPHI). While the management hasn't yet been officially approved by the West Java administration, we have already drafted the PD IPHI management for the 2026-2031 period, with a total of 60 members," he explained.

Muhammad Syarif Hidayat said that the IPHI structure also has advisory elements, including the Regent and Deputy Regent, the Chairman of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), as well as elements from the Ministry of Religion and the National Alms Agency (Baznas).

The inauguration of the new management is planned to take place on August 19, 2026 at the Islamic Center Ciamis to restart the organization's activities.

The Ciamis Regency IPHI PD also proposed the Hajj Dormitory Building in the Ciamis Islamic Center Complex as a secretariat to support the organization's activities.

"We also conveyed to the Regent that if permission is granted, we hope that the Ciamis Regency IPHI PD Secretariat can be located in the Hajj Dormitory Building, Ciamis Islamic Center Complex," he said.

Herdiat Sunarya responded positively to the request as support for strengthening the organization which has become active again after a two-year hiatus.

The existence of the secretariat is considered to be able to support the smooth running of PD IPHI activities, especially after the formation of the management for the 2026–2031 period.

"I congratulate you on your mandate and your duties, even though you haven't been confirmed yet. Managing the Hajj in Ciamis Regency is certainly not an easy task," said Regent Herdiat.

Herdiat Sunarya hopes that the new management will carry out their mandate with full sincerity and bring benefits to the people of Ciamis Regency.

"Hopefully everyone can carry out their mandate and with full sincerity," he hoped.

Herdiat Sunarya also expressed his appreciation to the previous management for their dedication and service while carrying out organizational duties.

"To the previous management, I express my sincere gratitude for their dedication and service. May it be a blessing for all of us," he said.

Herdiat Sunarya supports the inauguration agenda on August 19, 2026, although he has not confirmed his attendance due to the possibility of other government agendas.

This support is expected to strengthen the role of PD IPHI as an organization that contributes to religious and social life in Ciamis Regency.
