PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - PT Kereta Api Indonesia Operation Area (Daop) 2 Bandung has set the 2024 Eid transport period for 22 days, from March 31 to April 21 2024.

PT KAI Daop 2 Bandung is making various preparations for Eid 2024 transportation. A total of 24 locomotives, 244 trains and 5 Diesel Rail Electric Train (KRDE) trainsets have been deployed to face the Eid 1445 H holiday.

Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 2 Bandung, Ayep Hanapi, said that all facilities during the Eid transportation period must be ready for operation. Currently all these facilities are being maintained both at the Bandung Locomotive Depot and at the Bandung Train Depot.

"For locomotives, PT KAI Daop 2 Bandung has prepared 24 locomotives ready for operation consisting of 10 CC 201 series locomotives, 3 CC 203 series locomotives and 11 CC 206 series locomotives. Locomotive facility maintenance includes daily maintenance or Daily Check, P1 Maintenance ( 1 month), P3 (3 months), P6 (6 months), and P12 (12 months)," said Ayep, Thursday (28/3/2024).

"Maintenance carried out at the Bandung Locomotive Depot, undercarriage maintenance includes bogie devices, braking devices, wheel diameters, plane wear measurements, as well as upper frame maintenance including inspection of diesel components, main generator components, compressor and radiator components, control equipment components and Go No checks. Go item," he added.

For trains, according to Ayep, PT KAI Daop 2 Bandung has prepared a fleet of 224 trains consisting of Executive Class Trains, Economy Class Trains, Dining Trains and Power Plant Trains as well as preparing 5 KRDE Train sets for Feeder Train trips. Train facility maintenance includes daily maintenance or Daily Check, P1 (1 Month), P3 (3 Months), P6 (6 Months) and P12 (12 Months) Maintenance.

"The maintenance carried out at the Bandung Train Depot is maintenance of the lower frame and upper frame maintenance as well as maintenance of the train interior," he said.

Ayep explained that locomotives and trains during the Eid transportation period must all be ready for operation to serve 164 train trips per day with details of 44 Inter-City Trains, 6 Urban Trains, 14 Eid Additional Trains, 44 KCJB Feeder Trains and Urban Trains. KAI Commuter as many as 56 trains.

PT KAI Daop 2 Bandung anticipates during the Idul Fitri transportation period facing facility disruptions by placing locomotives, posts at the Bandung Locomotive Depot and Cibatu Station, providing generator trains (P-500 KVA) at the Bandung Train Depot, placing DJKA cranes at the Bandung Locomotive Depot, adding personnel for facilities and placement of evacuation equipment at the Depot and PUS in Daop 2 Bandung area and additional Command Post personnel from Balai Yasa Yogyakarta.
