PORTALJABAR, KAB. KARAWANG - The Karawang Regency Government has prepared approximately five hectares of land for the People's School program. This program is one of the central government's policies in providing free education services for children from underprivileged families.

Karawang Regent H. Aep Syaepuloh said that the central government has prepared approximately 200 locations for the development of the program and one of them is Karawang Regency which is committed to preparing 5.4 hectares of land.

"From the 200 prepared by the center through the Ministry of Social Affairs, they asked regional heads who were willing to commit to preparing approximately 5 hectares of land and the obligation of the regional government to prepare and tidy up the land, for development and all of it is temporarily from the Ministry of Social Affairs," said Regent Aep when interviewed, Friday (21/3/2025).

In addition, he mentioned that the Karawang Regency Government has prepared 5.4 hectares of land in Tegalwaru District. One of the factors in choosing the location is the convenience for teaching and learning activities.

"And thank God I prepared it in Tegalwaru because the place must be comfortable because the child is in Boarding School so it must be comfortable to use the weather is cold," he concluded. (Public Relations of Karawang Regency Government/rka)
