PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - The Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of Garut Regency held a seminar entitled "Promoting MSME Products through Digital and Muscle Mass Investment" at the DWP Secretariat of Garut Regency, Jalan Patriot, Tarogong Kidul District, Tuesday (15/9/2026).
The event was attended by 50 participants, consisting of Garut Regency DWP administrators and sub-district DWP representatives. The seminar discussed two aspects: the use of digital technology to promote MSME products and the importance of maintaining health and muscle strength.
Garut Regency DWP Representative, Lia Dedy, said the seminar theme was chosen to provide knowledge about economic independence through MSME digitalization as well as long-term investment in physical health.
"Through this seminar, I hope we can all gain new knowledge about how to utilize digital technology to promote MSME products and, secondly, how to protect our bodies by investing in muscle health from an early age," he said.
He also expressed his appreciation to the organizing committee and the speakers who had supported the implementation of the activity.
"I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the organizing committee who worked so hard to make this event a success. And to the speakers who shared their valuable knowledge with us," he continued.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Garut Regency Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP), Budi Gan Gan Gumilar, who served as a resource person, delivered material on digital promotion strategies to encourage DWP members to build micro-businesses within their families.
Budi hopes that DWP members can act as ambassadors and mentors for the local community in developing micro-enterprises. During the event, the committee also challenged participants to create a promotional video.
"The hope with this training is that firstly, their knowledge will increase, secondly, their digital literacy will improve, and most importantly, they will be able to encourage and build micro-enterprises, be able to move up a class, and become a source of pride for Garut Regency through economic growth," said Budi.
In addition to the MSME digitalization material, health and fitness practitioner Hendra Rosada Prayoga provided education on the importance of investing in muscle mass, especially for women.
According to Hendra, maintaining muscle strength is an investment in health as we age. He encourages people to start simple, regular physical exercise.
"You can try simple things at home, the movements I mentioned earlier, squats, sumo, maybe later, when you're a bit better, you can move on to push-ups, the simple ones we usually do, just things like that. The important thing is intention and action, not just intention," he said.
Hendra also emphasized the importance of consistency and concrete action in maintaining fitness and preventing disease early.
"My hope as a practitioner is that Garut residents, in particular, will be healthier and fitter. This is due to a lack of health education, as not only mothers but also many workers still lack exercise," he emphasized.
