PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - PT Kereta Api Indonesia Operational Area (Daop) 2 Bandung recorded a fairly high number of passengers during the 2025 Eid Transportation period.

The six stations in the Daop 2 Bandung area will be the ones that will send off the most long-distance train passengers during the 2025 Eid al-Fitr transportation period which will run from March 21, 2025 to April 11, 2025.

The six stations are Bandung, Kiaracondong, Tasikmalaya, Cianjur, Cipatat, and Banjar Stations with passenger volumes that continue to increase.

KAI Daop 2 Bandung Public Relations Manager, Kuswardojo, said that these stations recorded the number of passengers departed since the start of the Eid al-Fitr transportation period on March 21, 2025.

"As of Tuesday (8/4/2025) or D+7, the high volume of passengers recorded at these stations is evidence of the increasing public trust in using the train transportation mode which is considered comfortable, safe and on time," said Kuswardojo.

According to Kuswardojo, Bandung Station remains the main station for passenger departures, followed by Kiaracondong Station which is a favorite for economy class travel, Tasikmalaya Station and Banjar Station have experienced significant increases because they are important points for travelers from the west and vice versa.

"Cianjur Station and Cipatat Station, which are located in the south of the Daop 2 Bandung area, are customer hubs that use the Siliwangi train," he said.

Based on the 2025 Eid Transportation data up to D+7 of Eid Transportation, the number of train users during the 2025 Eid Transportation period from March 21 to April 11, 2025 also continues to increase. Up to D+7, it was recorded that 396,503 customers had tickets to depart by train from Daop 2 Bandung, with passenger occupancy of 111.3% of the total 355,996 seats provided.

"Occupancy exceeds seating capacity because 1 seat can be purchased and used by more than 1 customer who is taking a partial/dynamic trip," explained Kuswardojo.

A number of these customers already have departure tickets from various stations in the Daop 2 Bandung area with 29 trains provided. In total, during the 2025 Eid Transportation (22 days) there are 111,927 customers who will depart from Bandung Station, while at Kiaracondong Station a total of 89,946 customers will depart, at Tasikmalaya Station a total of 32,836 customers will depart, at Cianjur Station a total of 31,661 customers will depart, Cipatat Station a total of 19,946 will depart, and Banjar Station a total of 18,941 customers will depart.
