PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan inaugurated 33 functional officials within the Bandung City Government at the Bandung City Hall Auditorium, Monday (28/4/2025).

In his message, Farhan emphasized that functional positions are not just technical positions, but rather an important part in maintaining the running of the "big machine" of government.

These new officials are expected to be reliable specialists in their respective fields. Such as auditors, investment managers, environmental impact controllers, environmental educators, computer administrators, nurses, and planners.

"Every single one of your tasks is a vital part of this big system. Just like a machine, every cog and bolt must function in sync," Farhan said.

He also invited all officials to work not only with professionalism, but also with social sensitivity.

Farhan emphasized the importance of innovation that is oriented towards beneficiaries, not just pursuing procedures or routines.

"Innovation means providing new added value, paying attention to what the community feels, not just carrying out tasks," he stressed.

In addition, Farhan reminded that the basic values of ASN, namely BEING Virtuous, must be the guideline in every task that is oriented towards service, accountability, competence, harmony, loyalty, adaptation, and collaboration.

"Adaptive does not mean following personal ego. Adaptive means building a collaborative ecosystem that strengthens working together," he said.

Farhan hopes that the newly appointed functional officials can carry out their mandate with full responsibility, and make a real contribution in realizing the vision of the City of Bandung: superior, open, trustworthy, advanced, and religious.
