PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government confirmed that the cooperation process for the management of Bandung Zoo has entered the business calculation stage with all stages running in accordance with applicable regulations (4/7/2026).

Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan said the government is focused on ensuring that the entire process complies with regulations without interfering with the parties' business agreements.

"The planning has entered the business calculation stage, with the government taking the lead. The most important thing is that any business decisions made must comply with regulations. As Mayor, I restrict myself to not interfering in business agreements, but I ensure all business agreements comply with existing regulations."

Farhan is optimistic that all stages of the collaboration can be completed by July 2026, allowing management to proceed as planned.

The auction winner has fulfilled its initial obligation by paying an annual contribution of IDR 4.3 billion just two days after the announcement of the auction results.

"Two weeks after the auction winner was announced, we confirmed that the winning bidder's annual contribution had been paid. The amount was Rp 4.3 billion, and it was paid just two days after the announcement of the winning bidder. This means their obligations have been fulfilled."

The Bandung City Government will then complete all administrative and regulatory requirements that are the government's responsibility before the cooperation is implemented.

"Therefore, our obligation is to comply with all required regulations. From there, business interests will meet regulations, and we will then sign a Cooperation Agreement (PKS).
