PORTALJABAR, CIREBON CITY - Cirebon City has a new tourist attraction. Located in Sunyaragi Cave, the LumiLand Light Festival is open to the public from March 27 to May 3, 2026.

LumiLand's presence is predicted to be a new magnet capable of boosting tourist visits to Cirebon. This breakthrough also offers a new experience for enjoying the beauty of Sunyaragi Cave at night.

"I was amazed when I visited LumiLand in Sunyaragi Cave. Millions of lights in various shapes and themes were beautifully displayed, truly pleasing to the eye and creating a different atmosphere in one of Cirebon's icons," said Cirebon Mayor Effendi Edo.

"I appreciate the holding of this festival. Hopefully, Lumi Land can become a new attraction that revitalizes tourism to Sunyaragi Cave and further introduces the charm of Cirebon to more people," he added.

Beyond light installations, the festival also features traditional arts performances, from dances to gamelan music, to reinforce local cultural identity.

Lumi Land founder Joseph Ferry explained that Sunyaragi Cave was chosen for its historical value and unique location in the city center. "During our survey, we saw that Sunyaragi Cave has a long history. It's also the only cave in the city center in Cirebon, which is why we ultimately chose this location," Joseph explained.

His office is also collaborating with the Cirebon City Culture and Tourism Office to present arts performances from local studios every weekend. "Dancers, gamelan musicians, and studios supported by the office will perform here every weekend," he said.

Entrance tickets to the light festival are priced at Rp 35,000 for adults and Rp 25,000 for children, with the same price every day. Furthermore, the organizers are offering free tickets for elementary school students in Cirebon City. The festival also involves local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) who will be occupying the tenant areas during the event. (Apun)
