PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government is holding the 2026 Forkopimda Cup with three sports to strengthen cross-agency communication.

Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan opened the 2026 Forkopimda Cup at the Lodaya Football SOR on August 19, 2026.

The tournament took place from 19-21/8/2026, featuring football, badminton and table tennis.

Farhan said the activity was a way to maintain fitness and strengthen brotherhood between institutions in Bandung City.

"The goal of our event today is, firstly, a healthy body, and secondly, brotherhood and friendship," said Farhan.

He asked participants to uphold sportsmanship and avoid hard games because the activity prioritizes togetherness.

Farhan invited all participants to participate in the competition in a relaxed atmosphere so that communication between institutions would be closer.

"Friendship, solidarity, and brotherhood, coupled with increasingly close communication between us, will make the Bandung City Forkopimda even more united, ensuring that Bandung City becomes a superior, open, trustworthy, progressive, and religious city," he said.

Head of the Bandung City Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora), Sigit Iskandar, said the tournament brought together various agencies to strengthen cross-sector communication.

"This inter-agency sports tournament is being held as a momentum to strengthen ties, improve coordination, and strengthen cross-sector synergy within the Bandung City Forkopimda," said Sigit.

These activities refer to Law Number 11 of 2022 concerning Sports and regulations regarding the organization and funding of sports.

Participants came from the Bandung City Government, the Bandung City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), the Indonesian Air Force Husein Sastranegara Air Force Base, and a number of other agencies.

Other agencies include the Bandung City District Attorney's Office, Kodim 0618/BS, Lanal Bandung, District Court, City Police, and the National Narcotics Agency (BNN).

Participants also involved the Regional State Intelligence Agency (BINDA), the Military Police Detachment (Denpom), and the State Administrative Court (PTUN).

The opening was marked by the symbolic handover of the ball to the referee and the first kick by the Mayor of Bandung.

Through this competition, participants get a space to build fitness and communication that supports the implementation of tasks in the city of Bandung.

The 2026 Forkopimda Cup is expected to strengthen togetherness and coordination between institutions in maintaining security and developing the city of Bandung.
