PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency National Integration Forum (FPK) continues to expand its outreach on national values to students. This time, outreach is targeting junior high school (SMP) students to foster a sense of nationalism, strengthen unity, and foster mutual respect amidst the diversity of society.

The event was held at SMP Negeri 5 Tambun Utara on Saturday (10/10/2026). This outreach was part of an effort to introduce national values from an early age so that students understand the importance of maintaining unity amidst ethnic and cultural differences.

The Acting Head of the Bekasi Regency National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol), Robert Suwandi, stated that introducing the National Integration Forum to students is crucial to fostering an understanding of national values from school age.

According to him, similar activities have been held several times before at the public high school level. Going forward, outreach will continue through national forums to broaden public understanding, especially among the younger generation, about the importance of living in harmony within diversity.

"We hope this activity will be a positive step in building understanding about national unity and integration amidst the ethnic and cultural diversity in Bekasi Regency," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the FPK Bekasi Regency, KH Ahmad Ghufron, explained that the socialization aimed to introduce the role and function of FPK as well as instill a love for national values in students.

"The target is because that's the function of the FPK, which is to explain the organization and national values. So that our younger siblings can cultivate a love for these values for Bekasi Regency," said Ghufron.

He explained that previously, outreach had been conducted among high school, vocational school, and university students. Now, activities are being directed to junior high school students as part of expanding the reach of national education in Bekasi Regency.

Going forward, the FPK plans to bring together junior high school students from various areas in Bekasi Regency to participate in similar outreach programs. This plan will be further developed as an effort to strengthen the younger generation's understanding of nationalism.

"The goal is to foster a sense of nationality, equality, and nationalism," he said.

Through this activity, students are expected to not only learn national values theoretically but also apply them in their daily lives, from respecting differences, maintaining harmony, to strengthening a sense of brotherhood as part of Bekasi Regency's diverse community.
