PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) appreciates the creativity of Gang Stones residents in welcoming the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

Residents of Gang Stones, Lebak Siliwangi Subdistrict, Coblong District, decorated the environment with a mural with the theme of independence 17/8/2026.

The gang has a distinctive identity inspired by the British band, The Rolling Stones, including the use of its iconic logo.

This identity has become part of the people's lives and has developed as a tradition passed down from generation to generation.

The residents' enthusiasm was then realized through a combination of the theme of independence with the distinctive character of Gang Stones on the neighborhood walls.

This creativity not only beautifies residential areas, but also becomes a space for residents to gather and express their neighborhood identity.

RW 06 Head Ari Friansyah hopes that the mural can strengthen relations between residents and open up space for joint activities.

"Hopefully, this will be the path for us to collaborate in the future," he said.

This activity shows that independence celebrations can be realized through the creativity of residents according to the character and identity of each environment.

The Bandung City Government encourages community participation in maintaining togetherness while creating a creative and attractive residential environment.
